Definition

Canadian coffee-order shorthand: “regular” means one cream and one sugar; “double-double” means two creams and two sugars.

Examples

"Could I get a regular, please (one cream and one sugar)?"

"Make mine a double-double; two creams and two sugars hit the spot on cold mornings."

"He ordered a double-double for himself and a regular for me at the drive-thru."
